On Wednesday, October 18th, there was a shooting that led to the death of 3 individuals, and critically injuring 2 others in Edgewood, Maryland. The alleged shooter walked into his place of business and open-fired on some of his own co-workers. All five people who were shot, were employees of a kitchen countertop company, where the suspect had worked for the past 4 months What followed was a multi-state manhunt for this shooter, who was eventually taken into custody on Wednesday night.
New reports have come out since Wednesday, and even a video has surfaced from the company that shows the events that occurred during the shooting. The alleged suspect decided to gather some of his co-workers together before opening fire on the collective group. Once shots were fired, the employees immediately dispersed to avoid the gunfire. A mere two hours later, the shooter allegedly shot another man in Wilmington, Delaware.
The word alleged is being used for this apparent shooter, because their obviously has not been a trial yet set for this case. However, this alleged shooter has been charged with first- and second-degree murder, attempted first- and second-degree murder, first- and second-degree assault, and use of a firearm to commit a felony in the state of Maryland. As for Delaware, he is being charged with first degree attempted murder, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, possession or control of firearm by person prohibited, and carrying a concealed deadly weapon. He has been placed on a $2.1 million bail and his preliminary hearing will be on October 31st.
He has had many run ins with law enforcement in the past, in 2003 he plead guilty to 15 counts of third-degree burglary in Delaware. He has also had over 40 arrests that were attached to his record, but the Wilmington Chief of Police have declined to to discuss the nature of those crimes.
