The calendar has turned to the month of December and that means it is time for Baltimore to transform into a Winter Wonderland! Throughout the city homes, neighborhoods, and districts transform thanks in part to the thousands of illuminated bulbs and decorations on display. From a parade of lighted boats to drive-through Christmas spectacles, here are some of Baltimore’s Best Christmas Lights Displays.
- Miracle on 34th Street: The most well known Christmas Display in Baltimore City is back again this year. 34th Street in Hampden puts on a Christmas Display unrivaled in the area. Tour this city block and you will be sure to see inflatable decorations spilling over the porches, candy canes lining the sidewalks, train gardens circling overhead, and some very Baltimore Hon inspired Christmas Decorations!
- Symphony of Lights: The Symphony of Lights is held each year at Merriweather Post Pavilion in Columbia! The 70 animated and stationary holiday lights shine bright for all to see. You can turn the Symphony of Lights for yourself by driving to the intersection of Brokenland Parkway and Hickory Ridge Road in Columbia, Md.
- Lighting of the George Washington Monument: A true Baltimore Experience, the annual lighting of the George Washington Monument in Mount Vernon is always a fun event! The ceremony kicks off with Christmas Carols from local choirs and is capped off by a vibrant firework display!
- Parade of Lighted Boats: The final destination you should visit on your tour of Christmas Lights in Baltimore, is the annual Parade of Lighted Boats hosted by the Fells Point Yacht Club. Each year up to 50 boats decked out in Christmas Lights parade through the Inner Harbour for all to see. Some of the best places to catch this floating Christmas parade are the Broadway Pier in Fells Point, The Inner Harbor Promenade, and Tidewater Point!
