Memorial Day Weekend is always the inaugural start of the summer. And that is no different here in Baltimore, MD. There are always a ton of fun things to do around Baltimore, and the upcoming warm weekend will be no different. Every other person you ask will most likely tell you the same thing their doing this weekend - which is going to the beach. But for all of you staying around Baltimore this Weekend, here are a few things to consider.
For the baseball fans of Baltimore, Baltimore will be playing a home day game against the despised Yankees on Memorial Day, Monday. Grab a crab mac and cheese hot dog, a freshly squeezed lemonade, and enjoy the game.
There will also be a ton of tour going on during this weekend, so for those of you who enjoy seeing the sights of Baltimore or the harbor, tours will be running all weekend. The weather should be fair for all 3 days, so be sure to head out and see Baltimore during blue skies. If you enjoy history, there are tours that give a good history of Baltimore, there are even ghost tours that will take you from bar to bar, and give you the history (and ghost history) of each bar you stop in. Also be sure to head to Chestertown to check out their festival, and the role their town played in overruling the British Tea Tax before the American Revolution.
Another fun thing to check out on Saturday is the Brew at the Zoo festival. Enjoy a day outside with the zoo animals while enjoying a nice cold brew. There will also be cornhole, and other games to be played that day.
Lastly, simply hang out with your friends and family. There are only a few weekends a year when you get a 3 day weekend off from work, so take advantage of it! Throw a barbecue, a pool party, or have some steamed crabs. Whatever you decide, be safe and have a good time.
